MRI Calm — Week 04 • Day 04

Three low-stimulation ambient tracks built for steady comfort: Steady Bore, Quiet Field, and Soft Return.

About the MRI Calm Project

MRI Calm is a structured 90-track ambient library designed for MRI environments and other low-stimulation clinical settings. Each track follows the same guardrails: steady tempo (60–80 BPM), no percussion, no vocals, consonant harmony, and stable dynamics.

The goal isn’t entertainment. The goal is predictability—music that stays out of the way and helps the room feel less sharp.

Music is supportive, not a medical treatment. If you’re preparing for a scan, always follow your care team’s instructions.

What to Expect Today

  • Calm instrumental textures (no lyrics)
  • No surprise peaks, no dramatic builds
  • Slow harmonic pacing, gentle continuity
  • Designed for long listening (focus, rest, clinical comfort)

(If you’re reading this right before an MRI: you’re allowed to be nervous. The goal here is simply “less sharp edges.”)

Track 01 — Steady Bore

Steady Low-stimulation Breath-like pacing Warm pads + felt piano

A stable, machine-aligned ambient piece built around soft felt piano and warm sustained pads. Harmonic movement is minimal and evenly spaced—think “steady breathing,” not “plot twist.”

Track 02 — Quiet Field

Wide Soft edges No shimmer spikes Gentle continuity

A wider tonal field with evolving soft pads and light piano motifs. No high-frequency sparkle, no rhythmic edges—just calm, consistent space to lower anticipatory tension.

Track 03 — Soft Return

Gentle close No emotional swell Warm piano Stable dynamics

A gentle closing piece with warm piano arpeggios and sustained string beds. Designed to keep continuity without the “final boss” feeling—just a soft landing and quiet reassurance.

Disclaimer: MRI Calm is a supportive listening experience. It is not a medical treatment and should not replace professional medical care.

Optional Comfort Tools (Not Required)

These are simple comfort options some people like to have available for MRI day (or for calm, quiet listening at home). Totally optional.
