Some dates are fancy. Some are romantic. And some are two adults eating buffalo wings in public while pretending arcade shooters are “strategy.”
This was the third kind, and honestly, it worked.
Dave & Buster’s Lansing gave us exactly what we wanted: good bar food, a few fun games, and a way to stretch the money by stacking deals instead of winging it.
The simple plan
Eat first, then play
We used one Eat & Play combo. That gave us food plus starter gameplay without paying full menu prices and full arcade prices separately.
Starting with food matters. Hungry people make bad chip decisions.
Use Rewards (light effort, real payoff)
We used the D&B Rewards program so food and gameplay counted toward offers and future perks. Even if rewards don’t show instantly, today’s visit helps set up discounts for next time.

What we ate
Buffalo boneless wings and fries.
Both were exactly what you want at an arcade: solid bar food, easy to share, and compatible with getting up to play games right after.

Air hockey
Always a win for couples. Fast, competitive, loud, and just dramatic enough to feel like a real event instead of a swipe-and-walk-away game.
Aliens Hunter (co-op shooter)
We played a few rounds trying to save the world with very confident M16 energy. Co-op games are great date games because you’re on the same team, even when your aim says otherwise.

The real win: 215 chips still on the card
This is where the value shows up.
We ate, played, laughed, and still walked away with 215 chips ready for a full night of games later. That turns one decent visit into two dates.
A simple way to spend chips as a couple
– Air hockey, racing, or basketball for head-to-head fun
– Co-op shooters for shared chaos
