We’ve always believed that the best stories start with a little courage, a touch of chaos, and a whole lot of heart.

And this is one of them.

What started as a blend of curiosity, late-night planning sessions, and a mutual obsession with travel (and snacks) is now blossoming into our next big chapter: launching Team Jelly Adventure Corp., our family-run travel blog and lifestyle media company.

We’re not some giant VC-backed venture—we’re just Jason and Kellie: two creative, curious, slightly stubborn adventurers from mid-Michigan, rolling up our sleeves and launching a real business with a clear plan, a few saved retirement dollars, and the goal of building something sustainable, story-driven, and meaningful.

🎯 Why We’re Starting a Travel Blog — Now, at 50+?

It’s simple.

We’re not waiting until "someday" anymore.

We’ve spent the last several years building our skills in content creation, AI-powered workflows, financial strategy, and digital storytelling. And we’ve reached a point where all those puzzle pieces—YouTube, podcasts, blogging, affiliate marketing, editorial cartooning, and smart automation—are ready to work together under one big, bold umbrella.

Our focus is on real-world travel, rustic adventures, and middle-aged reinvention—blending informative guides, funny mishaps, and behind-the-scenes insights as we take on the world together… one trip, campground, or quirky roadside attraction at a time.

✈️ First Stop: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Our first official adventure launches in January 2026 (right after finalizing our C Corp paperwork). And the destination? The sunny, palm-lined beaches of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

We’re staying at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, an adults-only all-inclusive resort, where we’ll be capturing the full experience—from the lazy-river pool scenes to the morning café con leche, from excursions to Saona Island to local bites and cultural day-trips in Santo Domingo.

But it’s not just about travel reviews and resort ratings.

We’re treating this as our first major “content laboratory.” Expect:

What we’re building is a bit different.

We’re using AI workflows not just to save time, but to enhance our creativity. Think: automated transcription → smart chunking → episode outlines → blog drafts → thumbnail concepts → newsletter bundles → all generated with the help of tools like ChatGPT, Suno, and our own editorial art style.

Team Jelly Adventure Corp. is becoming a real, legal C corporation based in Michigan—targeting January 1, 2026 for full setup.

Here’s the plan in a nutshell:

Corporation Name: Team Jelly Adventure Corp. (inspired by Jason + Kellie = “Jellie”)

Structure: 100 shares, split 50/50

Funding: ROBS strategy (rollover Jason’s E*TRADE 401(k))

Services: Content, media, affiliate e-commerce, cartoons, workshops, travel partnerships, AI consulting

Banking: MSU Federal Credit Union (corporate checking setup)

DIY Legal Setup: Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Registered Agent—all self-prepared using AI guidance (instead of paying $5–10K to a ROBS facilitator company)

We’ll be blogging every step of this corporate formation process—from choosing the right plan document to filing Form 1120—so others can learn, replicate, or customize the same bootstrapped path.

And yes, our AI assistant will be the unsung hero behind the scenes.
