Deep Dive Adventures: Friday at O'Malley's in the Alley – Scavenger Hunt Stop Two



After picking up our Flying Pig 5K packets and kicking off the morning with a drink at The Gruff, our Friday scavenger hunt led us back over the Roebling Bridge and straight into the hidden heart of Cincinnati nightlife—O'Malley's in the Alley.

O'Malley's is one of those places that feels like stepping into a time capsule. Tucked behind the bustling main streets near the ballpark, this local landmark boasts tin ceilings, neon beer signs, and the kind of vibe you can only earn with age and authenticity.

We were immediately charmed by the vintage decor and warm, dim lighting. The tin ceiling alone was worth the photo stop—and we made sure to capture it. The place was packed with regulars and out-of-towners alike, all gathered in this tucked-away piece of Cincinnati history.



We went all in on the food challenge and ordered their standout menu item: the Alley Club. Piled high with ham, turkey, cheddar, swiss, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and mayo on toasted sourdough, it was a glorious mountain of a sandwich. Served with a side of chips, it was the fuel we needed to power the rest of the afternoon.



And of course, we had a couple of cold drinks to keep the scavenger spirit alive.
